![]() The Bitwise ecosystem and Bakersfield
Jan 20, 2021 6:45 AM
Amy Thelen is the Vice President of Bitwise, Bakersfield. Born and raised in Bakersfield, Amy spent time living in San Diego, Utah, and Austin before moving home to put down roots. With more than 10 years of experience in software sales, Amy brings a unique perspective to our Bitwise ecosystem. As Vice President of Bitwise, Bakersfield, Amy is in charge of shaping the Bitwise ecosystem to fit Bakersfield’s personality. Amy oversees the Bitwise Bakersfield campus, managing multiple projects while ensuring we’re creating a place for the community that is diverse, inclusive, and progressive. Her dream job would be the starting forward for the Women’s National Soccer team, but since that train has likely passed, she figures the next best thing would be working in an industry that will forever change our future. |

Join Us! Over Memorial Day Weekend, the sparkling lake at The Park at River Walk will be surrounded by a sea of red, white and blue as 1,000 American flags are flown in tribute to all who have sacrificed – and continue to sacrifice – to make the United States the greatest country in the world. Come to the Park and experience this spectacular patriotic display and celebration. Take time to walk among the flags and remember the men and women who ensure our health, safety and liberty. Enjoy activities throughout the weekend. Join our volunteers who set up the flags beginning at 7:00 am on Saturday. The display opens on Saturday at noon with the National Anthem and color guard. A flag raising ceremony is held each morning at 8:00 am and the entrance flag is then lowered Saturday and Sunday evenings at 8:00 pm to the sound of Taps echoing over the lake. On Memorial Day, Monday, visit the patriotic fair with booths, bands and fun. From 11:30 - 12:00 pm, there will be a patriotic performance by our local Golden Empire Drum & Bugle Corps followed by a very special presentation featuring a flag ceremony, speakers and invited guests. |
