Anthony Cordova was born in Bakersfield, California. Attended Shafter High School and joined the military immediately after graduation. Anthony served in the Navy as a Boiler Technician for just over four years, completed three tours during the Gulf War, and decommissioned two Naval Vessels. Honorably discharged from the Navy, Anthony found employment with Solar Turbines a wholly own subsidiary of Caterpillar. For 13 years Anthony held various titles within the company which allowed him to commission three power plants which five years he held the position as the plant manager of a 34 Mega Watt Combined Heat Power Plant while earning his MBA.

Anthony began his employment with Synagro on May 20, 2013 as the Plant Manager of South Kern Composting Manufacturing Facility (SKCMF) and had the opportunity to focus on reducing the operating cost by implementing Lean Manufacturing methods, driving a safety culture, improving employee morale, increased Preventative Maintenance (PM) awareness and activities, expand and increase the involvement with the community of Taft, and strive for excellence for the entire operations.

Anthony has held the positions as Second Vice President (Director) on the Taft Chamber of Commerce, Director on the Taft Community Gardens, and Chairman of the Funds Development Committee (Director) on the Taft College Foundation. Anthony currently holds a public positon as a member of the Solid Waste Hearing Committee with the Kern County Board of Supervisors and Director on the Educational Foundation of the Kern County Hispanic Chamber of Commerce.

Anthony held the positon of CTE Director at Bakersfield College which oversaw the management of Federal and Local Grants with an annual allocation of over 4.5 Million dollars. He currently is the Dean of Instruction of Engineering, Industrial Technology, Career Education and Bakersfield College Industrial Automation Bachelor’s Degree Program.
